Osteopathy is a holistic manual therapy that aims to improve health across all body systems treating the whole body. It feels like a targeted massage aiming to remove the barriers in the body to restore balance.

Renata has a strong background in physical therapy and helping people bounce back from injury. Her personal interest in health and wellness combined with her education has led her to become a well-rounded practitioner, approaching health issues from different perspectives when necessary. She has been a manual osteopath for over five years and also provides registered massage therapy. Prior experience as a strength coach and former professional basketball player, she has in depth knowledge of sports injuries and therapy.  

Renata believes in the body's ability to heal itself and works with you to help realign your body to promote healing. With a gentle approach she listens to your body and guides you to become more aware of your movement. A variety of techniques are integrated into a treatment such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, gentle mobilizations, and soft tissue therapy, along with strength and mobility exercises when needed.

Shahrzad Ebrahimi, Received a specialized honors degree in Kinesiology from York University.  While studying kinesiology and attending clinical settings she observed people suffering from different varieties of pains and limitations and this inspired her to take initiatives to study osteopathy.

She further continued her education at National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto to become a manual osteopathic practitioner to follow her lifelong passion helping people who suffer from musculoskeletal pains and injuries to become pain free and provide them the best rehabilitation treatment plans. She has done her research and thesis on how osteopathic treatments can help patients with sciatica pain and her focus is to strengthen the patient’s joints, muscles and musculoskeletal framework through osteopathic joint mobilization techniques, osteopathic muscle energy techniques and soft tissue manipulations. 

She is very passionate about providing an exceptional osteopathic treatment to patients to help them experience a better quality of life by decreasing their pain level, muscle stiffness/spasm and joint restrictions as well as increasing their range of motion, increasing their functional ability and improving their overall health. 
She is a member of Alliance Canadienne Medecine Alternative (ACMA) and registered with College of Registered Manual Osteopaths (CRMO).

  • Joint pain: knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, elbow, wrist
  • Sport injuries

​What to Wear?  Comfortable Clothing, yoga pants, track pants, or shorts and a comfortable shirt to your treatment. No jeans, skirts, or tight undergarments, they make treatment difficult.
Will I be sore? Soreness can occur up 1-2 days after treatment. It is suggested to relax and not do anything to strenuous. 

Is treatment covered by insurance? Some plans do cover Osteopathic treatment, unfortunately at this time they do not accept direct billing. Please confirm with your plan prior to booking. The following are Insurance Providers that may accept your claim:

Do I need a Doctors Note? Not for treatment, however your insurance company may require one
